| Artist's Statement: | I have always loved art, but didn’t start painting until about ten years ago when my ten year old granddaughter needed someone to take oil painting classes with her. I enjoyed it so much I continued with adult classes. I work in oil and watercolor and have several projects going at once. When I ruin something in watercolor, I spend more time doing oils, and vice-versa. I paint tightly and have been struggling to “loosen up.” I love to look at plein air, impressionistic, and alla prima styles, but my personality pushes me to put in those pesky details. Always more to learn. |
